Fans work out four-word phrase Arne Slot is drilling into Liverpool players' heads during training sessions

It's got fans talking.

Liverpool fans have worked out Arne Slot's 'key phrase' in training, and it's got them very excited about the season ahead.

Slot takes over from Jurgen Klopp this season, following the German's nine-year tenure at Anfield where he won everything available to him.

Klopp leaving Liverpool sent shockwaves down the world of football, with the former Reds boss becoming part of the furniture in the Premier League with his rivalry with Pep Guardiola.

Liverpool have taken a slight gamble with the appointment of Slot, as they missed out on their primary target Xabi Alonso as he committed his future to Bayer Leverkusen.

However, Slot certainly comes with a reputation after his work at Feyenoord, and fans have been extremely impressed with the training footage so far.

Slot was confirmed as Klopp's replacement in May, giving him a good amount of preparation ahead of his first pre-season at the helm of the Premier League side.

During Liverpool's Philadelphia training session ahead of their friendly with Arsenal, Slot was heard repeating the same four-word phrase to his squad.

The Dutchman was telling his players to 'Kill them with passes' throughout the session, and fans have picked up Slot's tactics and had their say.

One fan wrote: "Slot gives Lijnders vibes in terms of training method. Usually, you'd see Klopp mainly watching the players do what Lijnders and the other coaches tell them to do like a manager but Slot is definitely a trainer/coach."

A second added: "Everybody is working including the coach. Loads of energy thrown around on the training ground. I'm beginning to catch some good vibes seeing Anre Slot being our new coach. From what I see, there won't be over-dependence on a particular set of players, every member will work."

However, a third believed this could be a worrying sign for fans given the current squad: "Does he have the profiles to be one of the better possession sides? That's not LFC's game."
