Manchester United fans can't get enough of Anthony Elanga absolutely 'cooking' Marcus Rashford in a pre-season fitness test.

The Man United squad have reported for training ahead of the 2023/24 season, with fans spotting a 'clue' over the captaincy vacancy.

Players underwent training drills and physical tests in the gym, with Elanga and Rashford going head-to-head in an intense battle.

The pair of forwards went against each other in a standing long jump test and there was a clear winner.

Elanga's first effort resulted in a 'disqualification' as he slipped backwards after landing his jump.

But he produced a monstrous jump in his second effort, stunning Rashford and Tyrell Malacia, who was watching on from the side.

The Swedish winger continued to dominate his teammate as they shared an embrace following the drill.

Naturally, the duel between Elanga and Rashford sent social media wild.

One Twitter user wrote: "Elanga will turn out good."

A second tweeted: "Elanga’s a freak athlete. I was shocked."

A third added: "Highlight of the video is Malacia sitting on the side watching them do their thing."

A fourth said: "Brother might have missed his calling. It’s not late though. The Olympics are just around the corner."

A fifth joked: "Elanga found himself a new sport."

Elanga, 21, played 26 games in all competitions last season following a breakout campaign in the 2021/22 term, where he scored three goals.

But he has been the subject of intense transfer speculation this summer, with a move away from Old Trafford mooted.

Nottingham Forest and Everton have expressed an interest in signing Elanga, whose future appears destined to lie away from Man United.
