Man Utd have turned down Inter Milan's proposal for Aaron Wan-Bissaka - which would've seen Erik ten Hag add another player to his squad.
United are currently seventh in the Premier League table and haven't added to their squad in the January transfer window.
Incoming investor Sir Jim Ratcliffe is in the process of having his bid to own 25 per cent of the Red Devils and oversee all footballing operations ratified.

That, coupled with the club not wanting to breach Profit and Sustainability rules, means United have been inactive other than outgoings this month.
Donny van de Beek, Jadon Sancho, Hannibal Mejbri and Alvaro Fernandez have all sealed loan exits, while Sergio Reguilon's loan was terminated.
They've trimmed the wage bill significantly and other exits are on the cards.

Among the players Ten Hag is desperate to keep is Wan-Bissaka, who has started 10 games at full-back this term.
The 26-year-old missed a month of action through a hamstring issue and recently extended his contract by a year. Wan-Bissaka would've been free to negotiate with overseas teams before United activated an option in his deal.
Per The Sun, Wan-Bissaka had a suitor in the form of Serie A giants Inter.

Last season's Champions League finalists were prepared to include Denzel Dumfries in any deal to bring Wan-Bissaka to the San Siro.
Dumfries has featured 18 times for the Nerazzurri this term, registering five goal contributions.
The Netherlands international is rated highly by manager Simone Inzaghi, although he's out of contract in 2025.
Inter, who need to sell players to comply with Financial Fair Play rules, are only willing to offer Dumfries £35,000-per-week. That's a far smaller sum than the £80,000-per-week he's hoping for.

United have been linked with a move for Dumfries previously. Ten Hag is a known admirer and he's yet to sign a right-back during his time at Old Trafford.
He's swapped between Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot since arriving in 2022, not yet settling on which he prefers.
Both players started in United's last game, a 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur.

Dalot played right-back, while Wan-Bissaka filled in at left-back after Luke Shaw's late withdrawal.
When asked about Wan-Bissaka's performance, Ten Hag said: "On Monday against Wigan, he played for a part of it.
"We expected Luke Shaw, we trained with Luke Shaw in preparation for this game, but this morning he dropped out, not fit enough to start.
"To then change back in what we trained in what was our game plan, then we had to adapt too much. So we decided to put Azza on the left and keep Diogo on the right side."
