It's all going wrong at United.

Erik ten Hag is reportedly starting to lose the Manchester United dressing room after a tough start to the 23/24 season.

After a largely promising first season in charge that resulted in winning the Carabao Cup and securing Champions League qualification, it was expected that United will be challenging right at the top in the new season.

During the summer transfer window, United strengthened their squad after bringing in the likes of Mason Mount, Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund.

However, they have endured another disappointing start to the Premier League season.

Last weekend, they were convincingly beaten by Brighton and Hove Albion at Old Trafford.

As a result, Ten Hag’s team have only picked up six points from a possible 15.

Now, according to Football Insider, members of the United squad are growing increasingly disenchanted by the Dutchman’s methods.

The report claimed that fingers are being pointed towards the club’s hierarchy following a string of off-the-pitch incidents including the handling of Mason Greenwood and Antony.

A source told the publication that Ten Hag is beginning to lose the dressing room.

Furthermore, it was reported that former captain Harry Maguire stormed out of Old Trafford minutes after the final whistle against Brighton.

Things are not going to get any easier for Ten Hag as he prepares his men to face German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Speaking ahead of the clash, Ten Hag admitted that he has never been able to pick his best side since taking over at United.

He said: “One thing is true, from the start of last season I don't think I ever started with, in my opinion, the best starting XI. There was always injuries.

“We always got results apart from the period we are in now. I have experienced it in the past and managed it. You have to deal with it. I like these situations because you have to handle it and know what to do, and that is focusing on the process.”
