Manchester City have finally spoken out to confirm the details of Rodri's devastating injury, and it could change everything.
The Spanish midfielder was forced to come off the pitch during City's potentially title-deciding match against Arsenal at the Etihad in the 22nd minute after a clash with Thomas Partey took him out of the game.
Initially, the extent of the 28-year-old's injury was not known, with outlets in the Spanish media suggesting it may only be a minor injury and journalists like David Ornstein and Fabrizio Romano claiming that it could be a season-ender.

The Arsenal match was Rodri's first appearance of the season as City manager Pep Guardiola hoped to ease his star midfielder into the season after he played a pivotal role in Spain's victory at the 2024 European Championships.
He only returned to training days before the start of the Premier League season after suffering a hamstring injury during the Euros final and now faces a lengthy period away from the sport.
Speaking during his post-match press conference about the injury, City manager Guardiola said: “Rodri is a strong man! "He left the pitch in this action because he felt something. Otherwise, Rodri stays there.
