Pep Guardiola has given Manchester City staff a huge bonus in a heartfelt gesture after eight years at the club.
Given his intense touchline persona and the relentless winning-habit of his team, Guardiola has earned a reputation for being a cold, unemotional manager who cares little about anything off the pitch.
That couldn't be further from the truth though. Those who have worked with the Man City coach have described him as a warm and compassionate man who cares greatly about his friends, family and colleagues.

Last season City won a record-breaking four successive Premier League title, an achievement that was testament to the quality of their players and manager.
That said, maintaining such a high level year after year and building a dynasty would not have happened without the togetherness and sense of family behind the scenes the club has built during Guardiola's tenure.
Guardiola has always made sure to credit his side's support staff, without whom his players would not be able to perform at the level they do.

"More or less these years we have been perfectly together, players, club, staff, backroom staff," Guardiola said last season. "The mood is really good and has been for many years."
Now, in a show of his appreciation, Guardiola has given staff members who work at City's first-team training complex a huge bonus.
According to The Times, the 53-year-old recently surprised between 60 and 70 staff members - including chefs, receptionists, physiotherapists, kit men, baristas and security staff - with £10,000 bonuses.

Rewarding club staff for their continued hard work is nothing new at City. At the end of every season, the first-team players pool together to thanks staff behind the scenes.
This season City are looking to win a record-extending fifth Premier League title in what could be Guardiola's final season at the club.
