Pep Guardiola has reportedly given his blessing for Manchester City to make a game-changing signing in the summer.
After a wretched run of form, City splashed out on four signings in the January transfer window - including the additions of Omar Marmoush, Abdukodir Khusanov and Nico Gonzalez for a combined total of more than £100 million.
But with an ageing squad with many players who look past their best, City are still planning on continuing their mass overhaul when the summer window opens.

In the full-back area, there have been links to Newcastle's Tino Livramento and Andrea Cambiaso of Juventus but a fresh report claims they have their sights on a huge signing from Real Madrid.
According to Steve Kay of Football Transfers, City are tempted to make a move for Eduardo Camavinga and Guardiola is “all in" and "strongly supports" the potential transfer.
The Frenchman, a two-time Champions League winner with Real, has displayed his versatility by playing at an extremely high level in midfield and left-back for Carlo Ancelotti's side.

It's said that, because of his skillset and the fact he can turn defence into attack so quickly, Guardiola sees the 22-year-old as someone who has the capacity to replace two of City's modern greats in Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva - who could both leave at the end of the season.
Camavinga joined Real from Rennes for a fee of £34.4 million in 2021 and has gone on to make 170 appearances for Los Blancos.
Real already have their top midfield target lined up
According to Fichajes, Real have made Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Joao Neves a priority transfer target for the summer.

Neves only joined the Parisian outfit in August, with the deal costing an initial €59.9 million - as well as Renato Sanches heading back to Benfica on loan.
The 20-year-old, a former Manchester United transfer target, has been a revelation for PSG, making 35 appearances and managing 13 goal involvements from central midfield.
The outlet claims Real are prepared to offer €20 million plus Camavinga as a makeweight in a deal for Neves, though there are no indications about whether PSG would entertain such a proposal.
