Pep Guardiola has revealed only one player has been on the receiving end of Sir Alex Ferguson's infamous 'hairdryer treatment' from him and one instance led to the Catalan issuing a fine to himself.
Guardiola is an animated presence on the touchline and footage from behind the scenes documentary shows he is not afraid to raise his voice and vent at his players.
Sir Alex Ferguson, the only manager with more Premier League titles than him, was renowned for clashing with his players if he felt they weren't pulling their weight or in if they made costly errors.
On Saturday, Guardiola and City's new ÂŁ33 million signing Abdukodir Khusanov got off to the worst possible start on his debut for the club when he gifted Chelsea's opener with a mistimed header just two minutes in.

The 20-year-old, signed from RC Lens, looked incredibly nervous on his debut and picked up a yellow card for a challenge on Cole Palmer.
Thought the Uzbekistan international grew into the game a bit more, he was substituted in the 54th minute for John Stones.
After the game, which City won courtesy of goals from Josko Gvardiol, Erling Haaland and Phil Foden, Guardiola revealed he didn't speak to Khusanov about the error as the centre-back doesn't speak English - but explained there were two reasons he decided to bring him off.

Speaking in his press conference, Guardiola said: "They know he makes it [a mistake]. He knows he make a mistake. He doesn't [not] know it. What can I say? 'Don't do a mistake?'.

"He doesn't want to do it, so we know that. I make a substitution for two reasons.: mainly for the yellow card, not just for the mistake. And especially I need John for Wednesday [vs Club Brugge], because Marmoush and Kuza and Victor [Reis] cannot play, and I need John. He comes from the injury and he needs rhythm."
According to Sam Lee of The Athletic, Guardiola went on to add that he doesn't normally lay into players for mistakes - but did then say "apart with from Phil a couple of years ago".
Guardiola and Foden had a furious run-in back in October 2020, with the former not happy with a free-kick taken in a 3-1 Champions League win over Porto.
As per James Ducker of The Telegraph, Guardiola shouted: "F****** hell Phil! F****** hell! You haven't done what I said!".

Foden was said to have been seething by the dressing down and darted down the tunnel and into the changing room, getting dressed before many of his teammates had returned.
He waited for Guardiola and is reported to have vented to his manager, telling him: "Don’t ever do that to me again! You wouldn’t do that to other players.”.
Guardiola apologised to the City academy graduate and after saying sorry again in front of the group, he decided to fine himself, with the money going into the players' kitty at the club.

The clash is looked at as a pivotal moment in the development of Foden, who won the PFA Player of the Year award last season.
The England international has found his form again in recent weeks and City will need him on Wednesday when they face Club Brugge in a must-win game for Champions League qualification.
