Micah Richards was told 'You can't do that' after what he said to Kevin De Bruyne on the back of his final match for Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

On Tuesday night, De Bruyne captained City as they recorded a 3-1 win over Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium.

Omar Marmoush, Bernardo Silva and Nico Gonzalez were on the scoresheet, with Daniel Jebbison scoring for the visitors.

As a result, City are inches away from securing a place in next season's Champions League.

Heading into the match, all the talk surrounded De Bruyne, who is leaving the club at the end of the season.

De Bruyne played 69 minutes before being replaced by Gonzalez.

The Belgian could've and probably should've capped his last home match for City with a goal, but missed from close range.

De Bruyne was speaking to ex-City defender Richards and Jamie Redknapp immediately after the final whistle, and the trio spoke about his huge miss.

Richards began: "Talking about fun, we got to talk about your chance."

At this point, Redknapp laughed and said: "No, you can't do that, Micah!"

Richards then said: "Kevin knows how much I love him."

De Bruyne was very honest as he responded by saying: "I said I just have to be there, it's going to come. It's terrible. There's no excuses. My son is going to be very tough on me today." You can watch the exchange below.

When asked about how he feels to have played his last home match for City, De Bruyne said: "A bit weird. I don't know. Its been unbelievable to have the 10years that I've had over here. It's been an unbelievable ride, an absolute pressure, I don't know.

"I want to bring joy to people, play offensive football, creative, that is what I am on the pitch and I want to have fun. I think we had a lot of fun over the 10 years. You win, you lose sometimes. It was a joy working really hard and creating something for this club which brought the club much better than it was before. I'm super proud."
