Manchester City are being heavily linked with a move for one of Euro 2024's best performers, according to a new report – and they hold a 'great' interest in the player.
Spain have been arguably the most impressive team at this summer's tournament, recording wins over Croatia, Italy, Albania and Georgia.
And on Friday night, they secured their place in the Euro 2024 semi-final after substitute Mikel Merino scored a dramatic goal in the 119th minute to break German hearts.

Merino's late header was thanks, in part, to a pinpoint cross from in-form midfielder Dani Olmo, who opened the scoring in Stuttgart with a brilliant first-time finish.
The highly-rated RB Leipzig midfielder, who also found the net in their 4-1 win over Georgia on Sunday, is once again attracting interest after an impressive campaign for club and country.
In fact, German publication BILD claim Manchester City's interest in the player is ‘getting concrete’, with Pep Guardiola being a big fan of the Spanish playmaker.

Olmo is said to have a €60 million [£50.7m] release clause in his contract at Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig, which will be valid until July 15th.
However, BILD also suggest that he will be valued at that price even after the deadline.
As mentioned earlier, Guardiola is a great admirer of the 26-year-old midfielder. After beating Dinamo Zagreb and Olmo in the Champions League, the City boss gave his thoughts on the Spaniard.
"He's a top player - he has a bright future, of course," Guardiola said in 2019. "His performance today shows it. About the transfer and the money he deserves, that is not the point."

He added: "The point is he is an incredible player and I am pretty sure he is able to play in the strong leagues in Europe. Hopefully, if Dinamo wants and he wants, it can happen."
The reports linking Olmo to the Etihad come as Kevin De Bruyne looks increasingly likely to leave this summer.
De Bruyne's contract at the Premier League champions is due to expire in 2025, when he will be 34, which has sparked rumours over his future.

He has been heavily linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League in the past and according to journalist Rudy Galetti, there is a 'verbal understanding' between De Bruyne and SPL champions Al Ittihad.
Club representatives and key members of the Public Investment Fund have reportedly been in touch with De Bruyne, who has already given the green light.
