Manchester City fans spotted a major blunder in the images of the club’s new stand expansion.
City have revealed a seating configuration for an expanded North Stand at the Etihad Stadium, with the project set to increase the Premier League champions’ home capacity from 53,400 to more than 60,000.
The stand, which is set to be ready for the 2025/26 campaign, will feature a range of seating options, including a large rail-seating area, family areas, ring fenced tickets for young fans and a redeveloped concourse.

The announcement comes after lengthy consultation with fans, with the addition of rail seating having been viewed as a priority by supporters and the club.
Indeed, at least 3,000 rail seats will be introduced as part of the expansion.
The expansion of the North Stand is part of City’s wider desire to turn the Etihad Campus into an entertainment destination. Once complete, the stadium will also feature a roof walk experience and a new City Square fan zone with capacity for 3,000 people.

There will also be food and drink outlets, a club shop, a museum, commercial office space and a 400-bed hotel.
While City appear to have thought through many of the finer details, fans spotted a blunder in their expansion pictures - the supporters in the stand are wearing Nike kits rather than Puma ones, which is this season’s sponsor.
One person said: “Interesting spot on the North Stand stadium expansion pictures city have posted… why are the kits Nike?”

Another added: “Possibly AI. But Awkward nonetheless. Puma won’t be pleased.”
A third said: [It will] be from back when the original concept was formed but a bit of a slip up from the marketing dept!!”
