Bernardo Silva has revealed how much he thinks he's worth in the transfer market - he's way off his actual valuation.

Silva has been a consistent performer for Manchester City ever since his £43.5 million transfer from AS Monaco in 2017.

He's made over 300 appearances for the Blues and has helped his side to Premier League and Champions League glory.

The 29-year-old is in his seventh season at the Etihad outfit but a move away from the club has been mooted.

Barcelona have been linked with the star player's services, having pursued him last summer.

Not to mention a return to Portugal with Benfica. When discussing a move back to his old side, he put a price tag on his own head.

Though he's miles off his actual valuation.

Silva valued himself at 'over €50 million (£40 million)' - but his current market value stands at a whopping €80 million (£69 million), according to Transfermarkt.

Asked about a return to Benfica by A Bola, Silva said: "I've never hidden that one day I want to go back, so of course I do. Now, we'll see over time what's possible and it's not worth talking about this all the time, because people get tired... Let's see."

He added: "You can, now there are contractual issues that have to be respected and... you have to live the reality, that Portuguese football at a financial level cannot compete with English, Spanish or even German and French clubs, therefore...

"For example, even if I wanted to go to Benfica at the moment it was totally impossible because Manchester City is asking for a lot of money for a transfer for me. In the last four or five years I have been a player valued at over 50 million euros and it is impossible for a Portuguese club to pay that kind of value. People have to be a little realistic."
