The real reason behind Kyle Walker's public spat with Arsenal set-piece coach Nicolas Jover has been explained.
Tensions were running high after Arsenal's dramatic 1-0 win over Manchester City on Sunday, with Kyle Walker involved in a furious altercation with one of the Gunners' backroom staff, Jover at full-time.
Walker appeared to snub Jover's handshake, prompting a touchline brawl between both sets of teams, with Erling Haaland front and centre.

Speaking after the game, Pep Guardiola refused to go into detail on the incident, but hinted he knew the reason behind the commotion.
"I know what happened, but I don't want to say anything. They know it," the City boss told reporters.
The real reason why Walker refused to acknowledge Jover in the first place has since emerged, and it would appear it was a thought through decision, as opposed to a spur-of the-moment reaction.

According to several reports, there was disappointment among the City camp when Jover refused to shake their hands after their two league victories over Arsenal last season.
Upon seeing the Gunners coach ready to shake hands, Walker decided to set a captain's example by ignoring his former colleague's greeting, thus highlighting Jover's 'hypocrisy'.
The FA have reportedly decided that the England right-back will not face any punishment for his actions against Arsenal.
Taking to social media after the game, Walker had a message for supporters: "Back to back defeats is a level we cannot and will not accept.

"We have a period of time now to put things right and regroup and show everyone our true level. Thank you for your support today."
