An update on the future of out-of-favour Manchester City winger Jack Grealish has emerged.
Grealish, 29, struggled for first-team minutes during the 2024/25 campaign, having registered three goals and five assists in 33 appearances, as Manchester City finished the season without silverware.
Then, he was left out of Pep Guardiola’s squad for the 2025 Club World Cup, with some suggesting this was due to his off-field behaviour, although the City boss denied this when giving his reasons ahead of the tournament.
"The only reason he [Grealish] didn't play minutes was me, not because he was incorrect or whatever," Guardiola explained.

"He's a top player, but the players have to compete with each other, and last season [Jeremy] Doku was incredible in many games and Savinho made the step up for his first season."
On Friday (July 18), The Telegraph released a report which claims that the England international has “agreed to return to Manchester City to train individually as he waits on a move away from the club”.
Grealish, who is contracted to City until 2027, has been working hard during the off-season, with personal trainer Jamie Reynolds, in a bid to return to peak physical condition ahead of an important season for the 29-year-old.

He is now expected to train alone at Manchester City before the wider squad returns for pre-season on July 28.
Several clubs have been linked with moves for the out-of-favour winger, with West Ham United having discussed a potential loan deal – although this will likely depend on the future of midfielder Lucas Paqueta and whether head coach Graham Potter is willing to introduce Grealish to the squad despite his recent poor form.
2024/25 Serie A champions Napoli are also keen, but the player’s reported £300,000 per week salary is thought to be an issue.
While Premier League outfit Everton have been linked with a loan offer as they prepare for their first season at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Despite seemingly having one foot out of the door at City, the Birmingham-born winger was full of praise for the club's supporters at a recent Oasis concert at Manchester's Heaton Park.

In a clip posted on social media, Grealish said: "I love City more than anything! And do you know what I love more than anything? City fans! They’re the best fans in the world!”
