Respected journalist David Ornstein has given an insight into Manchester City's plans for the upcoming January transfer window.
Reigning champions of England, City, are currently in dismal form as they have only managed one win in their last 12 matches across all competitions.
As a result, Pep Guardiola's men are in seventh place in the Premier League table, four points off the top four and a huge 12 points behind leaders Liverpool.
One of the many reasons for City's drastic drop in form could be down to the injury to Rodri, who ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament during September's 2-2 draw against Arsenal.

With the January transfer window on the horizon, City could dive into the market to inject some much-needed life into the squad.
As reported by The Athletic's Ornstein, City are 'expected' to be active in the winter market and has picked out a few key areas to target.
The report stated: "Between the winter and summer windows, they intend to strengthen in defence, at No 6/No 8 and up front.
"It is premature to say who will be signed and in what order, but work is being done behind the scenes and conversations are now taking place with clubs and player representatives."

However, it has been said that City will not splash the cash for the sake of it and know that getting players that would instantly make an impact will be difficult during the January window.
Speaking ahead of City's match against Everton, Guardiola stated that they are at risk of not qualifying for next season's Champions League.
He said: "Now we're at risk, of course we are, definitely.

"You have to get points and win games, otherwise we won't qualify for the Champions League. If we don't qualify it is because we don't deserve it, because we were not prepared, because we had a lot of problems and we didn't solve those problems and find a way to win games."
Guardiola added: "There are of lot of contenders to be there. For every club, it is so important and if we are not winning games, we will be out."
