Liverpool already have their own Martin Zubimendi and it could save the club millions

Fans have spotted an incredible replacement already at the club.

Liverpool fans believe they may have found a perfect replacement for Martin Zubimendi, and he's already at the club.

Zubimendi looked almost certain to join Liverpool earlier in the transfer window, but the deal ultimately fell through after the Spaniard decided to stay with boyhood club Real Sociedad.

Many fans believe that the midfielder would have been a perfect fit for Liverpool's style under new manager Arne Slot, and expressed concerns when reports suggested that the club would not be pursuing another player in that position this summer.

But now, Liverpool supporters have taken to social media as they believe they may have found a perfect replacement for Zubimendi, and he already plays for the Reds.

Tyler Morton impressed last season while playing on loan for championship club Hull City, scoring three goals and registering five assists as he aided them in a season where they nearly made the play-offs.

And despite interest from several Champions League clubs, including Bundesliga champions Beyer Leverkusen, Liverpool decided to keep Morton at the club, and fans are excited.

Reacting to footage of Morton playing last season, one fan wrote: "If we don’t sign anyone. I say we give Tyler Morton a chance this season? Thoughts?"

Another added: "Man I am so happy he is staying."

Another claimed he was better than other midfielders at the club: "Tyler Morton is *clears throat* absolutely fine as a midfield backup and probably better than Endo on the ball. Defending is a bit yikes but let's trust the coach."

With one fan agreeing, suggesting he could start matches for Liverpool, writing: "I’m not against Tyler Morton getting a chance this season in the 1st team."

But another claimed that they would want to see more of Morton before they are convinced he is ready, writing: "If Tyler Morton is staying, I need him as part of the matchday squads and playing 20-30 minutes per game. Want to get a feel for where his quality’s at."

Over the international break, Morton will join teammates Jarell Quansah and Harvey Elliott in the England U21 squad ahead of their matches with Northern Ireland and Austria.
