Trent Alexander-Arnold has pulled out of England's latest squad and fans have pointed out a rather alarming trend in relation to his injuries.
The Liverpool star was named as a midfielder in Gareth Southgate's squad ahead of the Euro 2024 qualifier with Ukraine and a friendly with Scotland to mark the 150th anniversary of the first ever international fixture.
However, Alexander-Arnold was forced off with a minor hamstring injury in the second half of Liverpool's 3-0 win over Aston Villa at the weekend.
And it's been confirmed that both he and Manchester City star Jack Grealish have withdrawn from the squad for upcoming games, with no replacements being called up.

After undergoing medical tests on Monday, Alexander-Arnold will spend the international break at the club's AXA Training Centre as he recovers from the injury blow and hope to be fit in time for Liverpool's clash with Wolves on Saturday 16 September.
The Liverpool vice-captain was irresistible in the last international break, running the show against Malta and North Macedonia.
But plenty of fans believe that the 24-year old's injuries typically occur leading up to international duty and that it is not quite a coincidence.

One claimed: "63% of Trent’s injuries have come just before an England game."
A second added: "Oh shock horror trent withdraws with 'injury' for the 46th time from internationals but plays 38 games a season for Liverpool."
A third added: "Call me cynical, but Trent does manage to pick up a lot of injuries on the eve of England duty…"
A fourth commented: "Trent getting injured before the international break but it only being a 2 week injury will never not be funny to me."

Another chimed in: "The standard Trent injury before an international break."
A final user said: "Shoutout to trent getting 2-week injuries right before intl breaks gotta be one of my favorite scams."
England play Ukraine in Wroclaw, Poland on September 9, before playing Scotland at Hampden Park on September 12.
