Former England boss Sven-Goran Eriksson has responded to calls that he should manage Liverpool’s legends match next month.
Last week, Eriksson, 75, revealed his cancer diagnosis, he said: “Everyone understands that I have an illness that is not good. Everyone guesses it's cancer, and it is.
“But I have to fight as long as I can.”

Since his diagnosis, Eriksson revealed that one of his biggest regrets is not having the chance to manage Premier League side Liverpool.
As a result, fans have called on Liverpool to invite Eriksson to manage the Anfield club’s legends match against Ajax, which is set to be held in March. The Swede has now responded, you can watch the footage below.
He said on ITV’s Good Morning Britain: “I didn’t know that, I knew that they have a charity game in March I think it is and my son… I’m invited to see that game and that would be great because there will be a lot of great footballers there but I should be their manager? No, I’ve never heard that.”

When asked if he would accept the offer, Eriksson said: “I would accept of course! That’s always been my dream but like a dream, I’m not complaining, I’ve had a lot of good football teams - national teams and the clubs so I’m happy.”
Explaining his day-to-day routine, Eriksson said: “I go out, having a coffee with them, a lunch with them, things like that. I try to be normal. I’m travelling a little bit less than I did before, but I’m still travelling.
“I hope to come to England maybe to see England Brazil in March, that could be a game in the final of the World Cup but it is a friendly. We’ll see but I’m not complaining and I refuse to sit down and cry, feeling sorry about myself.”
