Roberto Firmino could be in line for a shock return to the Premier League in a move which would anger Liverpool supporters.
Firmino left the Reds in the summer after eight seasons at Anfield, signing for Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli on a free transfer.
The Jeddah side also splashed out on Riyad Mahrez, Edouard Mendy, Gabri Veiga, Franck Kessie and Allan Saint-Maximin to name just a few notable additions.
Firmino was made captain and has scored three times in 17 appearances in the league.

Al Ahli are currently third after 19 games but fresh reports claim Firmino could be on the move already after six months.
It's been reported that Firmino has grown frustrated with the team's system and has interest from clubs in England, Turkey and Saudi.
Now fresh reports claim that the former Hoffenheim man could be on his way to Chelsea.

The Telegraph say that the Blues may look to consider a short-term loan for Firmino, who is likely to be available for such a deal.
Mauricio Pochettino's side have struggled in front of goal, with midfielder Cole Palmer their top scorer with nine.
Nicolas Jackson has scored seven in the league, though three came in one game against nine-men Spurs.

He is currently with Senegal at the AFCON tournament in Ivory Coast, while fellow summer signing Christopher Nkunku has been injured for the first half of the campaign.
Youth product Armando Broja has been leading the line but has found the net just once in the league.
Any move for Firmino would be a controversial one given his time at Liverpool, with their fans understandably unlikely to be happy if a deal comes off.

Similarly, former Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema is mentioned as a potential candidate.
The 36-year-old is also playing in Saudi Arabia, scoring 15 goals in 24 games.
