The Premier League have confirmed who will take charge of Manchester United vs Liverpool next week and the appointment will likely irritate Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool travel to Old Trafford on Sunday having been beaten 4-3 in a thrilling FA Cup tie last month.
The Reds led twice during the game, including extra time, but were eliminated at the quarter-finals after Amad Diallo's last-gasp winner.

The two sides renew their rivalry in the league, having drawn 0-0 in the reverse fixture at Anfield back in December.
The game could be a huge one in deciding the destination of the league title and the Premier League have announced that Anthony Taylor will be the man in the middle.
Taylor typically takes charge of a lot of the so-called 'big' games in the Premier League but he and Klopp have previous.

There have been several run-ins and last season Klopp was sent off for his reaction to a Bernardo Silva foul on Mo Salah.
The feud continued this season during Liverpool's 3-1 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates.
Klopp was furious about a similar incident going unpunished against the Gunners.

"A lot of things were against of us today," he said after the defeat.
"This referee gave me a red card against Man City for a wrestling situation between Bernardo Silva and Mo Salah. Today, same situation with [Diogo] Jota but didn't get a red card.
"It is unbelievable, then the of holding [Kai] Havertz on Konate for the first yellow card. Then Havertz goes down and the referee gives Konate a yellow card. Gabriel [Magalhaes] does the same to [Darwin] Nunez and no yellow card."

When Konate was shown a second yellow for fouling Havertz, Klopp cracked a smile and then produced a sarcastic thumbs-up gesture.
Liverpool host Sheffield United on Thursday before the United clash, where John Brooks will be on VAR duty.
