Liverpool could be dealt another blow in the summer transfer window as Barcelona have reportedly reopened talks for a major player.
Arne Slot has stayed quiet in his first transfer window as Liverpool manager, with the club remaining the only Premier League side yet to make a signing.
The club looked likely to secure the signing of Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad, but the deal fell apart on Monday after the Spaniard decided to stay at his boyhood club.

And now, the Merseyside club could be set to lose a key player, as La Liga giants Barcelona have reignited their interest in the starter.
For some time, Luis Diaz has been linked with a move to Barcelona, as the Spanish side look to bring in a winger on the left side.
After an impressive campaign with Spain at the Euros, Nico Williams appeared to be the first choice for Hansi Flick.

But, with the deal for the talented 22-year-old proving difficult, Barcelona are reportedly turning their attention back towards pursuing Diaz.
The report comes from Spanish outlet Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra (via Caughtoffside) who claims Barcelona could be prepared to offer a player swap as part of a deal for Diaz.
Diaz made 51 appearances for Liverpool last season, scoring 13 goals and assisting another five.
The 27-year-old impressed while competing in the 2024 Copa America, helping Colombia reach the final, where they lost to champions Argentina 1-0.

In the road to the final, the winger scored two goals and was a standout player in the controversial semi-final match against Uruguay.
Diaz has also performed well in preseason for Liverpool, scoring a brace in the match against Sevilla which finished 4-1 to the Reds.
Despite this, CaughtOffside claim that Liverpool could be open to facilitating the move in order to reignite their pursuit of Newcastle United’s Anthony Gordon before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.

With Liverpool reportedly willing to accept £50m for Diaz, it is likely that they would need to spend more to pry Gordon away from Eddie Howe’s side ahead of a crucial season for the Magpies.
