Liverpool have engaged in talks with a potential replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold but they are also keen on signing Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez, according to a new report.
The future of Alexander-Arnold remains firmly in the air. With eight months remaining on his current deal, the England international has yet to make a decision regarding the next steps in his career.
Liverpool are keen to initiate contract negotiations with the player, who has made over 300 appearances for his boyhood club, but reports in Spain suggest his entourage have held discussions with Real Madrid.

It emerged last month that contract talks are 'stalling' because Liverpool are reluctant to offer him higher wages than Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk.
With all that being said, a report from Caught Offside suggests the Reds are targeting Bayer Leverkusen right-back Jeremie Frimpong to replace Alexander-Arnold. In fact, talks over a move for Frimpong have already taken place.
As well as Frimpong, who is valued at £41.5 million by Transfermarkt, Liverpool are said to be keen on signing Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez.

Kerkez, a Hungary international, is reportedly seen as a long-term successor to Andrew Robertson.
The 21-year-old only joined Bournemouth last year in a deal worth around £15.5 million from AZ Alkmaar but after a series of impressive performances under Andoni Iraola, he has become one of the Premier League's most sought-after players.
In fact, Liverpool will likely have to compete with Manchester United for his signature as Ruben Amorim's side target a new left-back due to ongoing injury concerns surrounding Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.
A report from TeamTalk suggests Kerkez is 'more likely' to join the ranks at Old Trafford because of 'personal connections to United through the family'.

It has also been suggested that Liverpool are at growing risk of missing out on Kerkez, and reportedly have Fulham's Antonee Robinson and Wolverhampton Wanderers star Rayan Ait-Nouri on their list of potential targets.
Speaking about his future in an interview with The Guardian this month, Kerkez said: "I believe I can make it at the top level of football… then I can build an even bigger lake."
