Liverpool have confirmed Trent Alexander-Arnold 'hyperextended his knee' during their victory over Arsenal in the FA Cup.
Liverpool's big 2-0 win over Arsenal at the Emirates last weekend has come at a hefty price.
Assistant manager Pepijn Lijnders has revealed that Alexander-Arnold will be sidelined for a 'few weeks' due to a knee injury.
"First of all, some not-that-good news, Trent hyperextended his knee during the last game," he said.

"So he has a little tear in the lateral ligament of his knee and he will need time to recover. He had a scan and he will be out for a few weeks, so let's see after that.
"He will get some rest and then hopefully he can come back to where he was. Because this guy was decisive in all the games and was the one who created constantly for us from deep and gave the team a high level of flexibility. We will really miss him."
Alexander-Arnold, who wore the captain's armband against Arsenal, starred as he delivered a stunning performance.

But Jurgen Klopp will be without the 25-year-old for tomorrow's Carabao Cup clash against Fulham and next weekend's Premier League match against Bournemouth.
He's also set to miss his side's Carabao Cup second-leg tie at Fulham as well as their FA Cup fourth round fixture.
Alexander-Arnold is in danger of being unavailable for league matches against Chelsea and Arsenal, too.
The England international has played 25 games in all competitions this season and has been a key player for Klopp as Liverpool fight on four fronts.

Virgil van Dijk, however, is back in training after missing Liverpool's win over Arsenal.
He was ruled out through illness, but is back in the squad for tonight's game against Fulham.
"Virgil is back," added Lijnders. "He did some runs yesterday on the pitch, looked good again. So he will be back in the squad, he recovered well. So it really helped him not to travel to London."
