A forgotten Liverpool starlet who cost £2 million at the age of 14 has recently signed for his 10th club.
Winger Oluwaseyi Babajide Ojo, better known as Sheyi Ojo, came through the ranks at Milton Keynes Dons before securing a move to Liverpool for a reported fee of £2 million at just 14 years old.
Shortly after joining the Anfield club, Ojo went out on loan to Wigan Athletic and Wolverhampton Wanderers before being handed his Premier League debut by Jurgen Klopp in March 2016, during a 3-2 defeat away at Southampton.
There was a lot of hype surrounding Ojo but the winger never truly lived up to those expectations.

Loan spells followed at the likes of Fulham, Stade de Reims, Rangers, Cardiff City and Millwall.
Eventually, after making 13 appearances for Liverpool across all competitions and scoring one goal, the forward left Anfield on a free transfer and signed for Cardiff.
Ojo again failed to nail down a regular starting spot and was loaned to Belgian Pro League side Koninklijke Voetbalclub Kortrijk during the 23/24 season.
In June, it was confirmed that Ojo had left the Welsh club upon the expiration of his contract.

At the age of 27, the former Liverpool starlet recently signed for Slovenian side Maribor on a two-year deal.
So far in his career, Ojo has made 258 club appearances and scored 23 goals.
On the international stage, Ojo was part of the England U20 squad which won the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup, which was hosted in South Korea.

Ojo registered two assists when he came on in the semi-final clash against Italy and also made an appearance in the final as a substitute for Kieran Dowell in the 62nd minute.
England won the final after beating Venezuela 1-0, thanks to a goal by now-Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Back in 2020, Ojo revealed what Klopp told him ahead of his loan spell with Cardiff, he said: “The main message was just to get consistent games.
“Every time I’ve had a loan spell I’ve played and there’s been games I’ve done really well in. But it’s just playing a lot of games and having a full season of football.”
