Real Madrid fans furious as unseen footage emerges of altercation between Arda Guler and Liverpool physio

Guler had a brief altercation after full-time at Anfield.

Real Madrid fans have been left furious after unseen footage of an altercation between Arda Guler and a member of Liverpool's medical team emerged after their 2-0 defeat to the Reds.

Los Blancos lost their third match in five Champions League group stage fixtures at Anfield on Wednesday, thanks to goals from Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo.

Kylian Mbappe had his second half penalty saved by Caoimhin Kelleher, with Real having just three shots on target during the 90 minutes.

They now sit in 24th place and occupy the final play-off round qualification place with three more group matches to play in the new Champions League format.

But over two days after full-time at Anfield, unseen footage has emerged of a short yet bizarre altercation involving midfielder Guler, who started and played the full 90 minutes.

The incident occurred while Liverpool's medical team were treating Ibrahima Konate, who suffered a knee injury after Endrick inadvertently fell on him in the final seconds of the match.

In the footage, Guler can be seen attempting to take a bottle of water from the bag of the Liverpool physio, who then quickly pulls the bag away and glares in the midfielder's direction.

Guler initially looks confused before lifting both hands, but any danger of a further altercation doesn't transpire.

Once the physio returned to treating Konate, the Turkey star could be seen taking a water bottle from another bag instead.

Last week, Guler had been linked with a surprise loan move away from the Bernabeu in January, with Arsenal said to be possible contenders.

But the 20-year-old now looks like having an extended run in the starting XI following injuries suffered by Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo.

And Fabrizio Romano claims that Real have 'no interest' in letting Guler leave the club on a temporary basis during the upcoming transfer window.
