Mohamed Salah has posted a timely reminder about the facts behind Trent Alexander-Arnold's free-kick against Fulham from last season.

Liverpool will be hoping to extend their lead at the Premier League summit on Saturday afternoon with victory over Marco Silva's side at Anfield.

So far, Arne Slot's side have been nothing short of sensational this season, picking up 11 wins from a possible 14 in the league.

Ahead of this weekend's game, Liverpool posted a clip on Instagram of Alexander-Arnold's free-kick against Fulham from last season, which was eventually chalked down as an own goal.

After striking the crossbar the ball hit goalkeeper Bernd Leno, meaning the goal was taken away from Trent.

A year later and Salah has not forgotten about that moment.

In fact, after Liverpool posted a clip of Alexander-Arnold's free-kick in the 4-3 win over Fulham, Salah pointed out that it went down as a Leno own goal.

He wrote in the comments section: "I think that end up own goal [laughing face emoji]."

Here's how fans on social media reacted to Salah's comment.

One fan said: "Love him so much," while another wrote: "First he exposed him for taking 20 tries to score a goal from a difficult angle after now this."

A third commented: "What does he have against trent im cryinggg."

A fourth wrote: "Hazard was like that in his last season. He didn't care," and a fifth added: "He probably watched the interview of Trent and Robbo."

As mentioned above, Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold took part in an interview with TNT Sports, where they were asked to build their perfect player.

And to the surprise of many, they overlooked Salah for Xherdan Shaqiri after being asked which player had the perfect left foot.

“I [previously] said Shaqiri, from the players I’ve played with,” said Robertson. “I’m never even in the question am I?"

"That's because Salah hasn't got a right foot." 👀

Alexander-Arnold added: “I’d take Studge [Daniel Sturridge] you know," but Robertson was sticking with his choice. “Shaq’s left foot was joke,” he said.

Eventually, Trent agreed, saying: “Technically, Shaq, yeah, his left foot was incredible."

Robertson continued: “Don’t get me wrong, we’re not playing down Mo, Mo’s left foot is unbelievable. But Shaq just had a way of hitting the ball, the power, it was unique I would say.”
