Liverpool fans have been left in meltdown after seeing the club's first tweet since Mo Salah delivered a bombshell update on his contract situation.
On Sunday Salah scored twice, including the winner, as the Reds came from behind to claim a 3-2 win against Southampton to move eight points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.
The 32-year-old has hit 12 goals in 18 appearances in all competitions for the Reds this season, showing no signs of slowing down in his eighth season at Liverpool.
But after the game, Salah delivered a worrying revelation about a lack of discussions regarding a new deal. Out of contract in the summer alongside teammates Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, the Egyptian star revealed that there has been no movement and he is more likely to leave and stay at present.

Speaking to media after the Southampton win, Salah said: "We are almost in December and I haven't received any offers yet to stay in the club. I'm probably more out than in.
"You know I have been in the club for many years. There is no club like this. But in the end it is not in my hands. As I said, it is December and I haven't received anything yet about my future.
"I'm disappointed but we will see."
Liverpool have not officially commented on the matter and their first tweet since Salah's quotes were published was to promote an upcoming Lana Del Rey concert at Anfield on 28 June 2025.

Naturally, it prompted plenty of frustration about the announcement given the frustrations around Salah.
One replied: "Don’t care, how about give Mo Salah what he wants."
A second commented: "They could not have chosen a worse day to announce this."

A third asked: "But will Salah perform at Anfield next season, tho?"
Another vented: "It's quite a look releasing this on the club's official feed while simultaneously video emerges of the club's best player saying he's disappointed he hasn't been offered a new contract despite winning the game for them less than 24 hours ago."
A final user wrote: "Use the money from this to pay Mo whatever he wants."
Since joining from Roma in 2017, Salah has scored an impressive 223 goals in 367 games for Liverpool and won every available trophy to him in his tenure.

He has received huge interest from Saudi Arabia, with Al Ittihad reportedly having a £150 million bid rejected in September 2023.
