Former Liverpool flop Luis Alberto is set for a rather shocking transfer after missing out on the Spain squad for Euro 2024.
Alberto currently plays in Italy for Lazio and has done since 2016, but the Spaniard endured a rather disappointing spell at Anfield after joining in 2013 for £6.8m from Sevilla.
He only made nine Premier League appearances for the Reds across three years at Anfield.

After failing to fully break into the side in his first season, Alberto made a loan move back to Spain, signing for Malaga where he made 15 appearances scoring twice.
Alberto went on to make another loan move the following season Deportivo de La Coruña where he had a more successful spell of 29 games and six goals.
Alberto's change of fortunes finally earned him a permanent move away from Anfield, moving to Lazio where he has become one of Serie A's most impressive midfielders.

After eight years in Rome, the 31-year-old looks to be on the move again with reports from Fabrizio Romano tipping the Spaniard to make a shock switch.
Romano posted on social media: "Qatari side Al Duhail have agreed personal terms with Luis Alberto, contract and salary. It’s now up to Lazio and Al Duhail to agree on the fee as President Lotito has no intention to let Luis Alberto leave for free."
Despite being such a crucial player for Lazio, Alberto has only ever played once for the Spanish senior side and he has once again been snubbed ahead of the Euros this summer.

With the tournament in Germany Alberto's last real chance on the international stage, a move to Qatar could be more tempting than ever.
