Arne Slot is finally set to make his first signing as Liverpool boss with a deal now 100% agreed for Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.
Mamardashvili was outstanding for Georgia during Euro 2024 over the summer, and was arguably the main reason the underdogs managed to escape the group stage.
According to Fabrizio Romano Liverpool have an agreement for a €35m package plus a sell-on clause with the contract being signed on Monday, however, the goalkeeper will remain at Valencia for the rest of the season.

The 23-year-old goalkeeper earned 13 clean sheets last season for Valencia in 37 La Liga appearances.
Mamardashvili also boasted an impressive record when facing penalty kicks last campaign, saving three out of the six he faced for the Spanish side.
With the Georgian remaining on loan with Valencia until next summer, it could indicate the potential exit of long standing number one, Alisson, although his contract runs until 2027.

However in a recent interview with the Times, Alisson showed no intention of leaving Anfield despite the arrival of Mamardashvili.
He said: “The club needs to prepare for the future.
“We are not going to last forever here, I am getting old! No, for a goalkeeper I am still young, I have a lot of energy and I still have much to give for this club and I want to give to the club as much as I can.
“They will do it for different positions as well. We have so many important players with the contract expiring and the club needs to organise themselves for the future.

“I think it was a good idea. I knew about that [Mamardashvili] before it came out on social media and that is a good message for me because the club cares about what I think.
“They are doing the right thing but, on my side, as long as I have my contract here and as long as I am happy here, the club is happy with me, my family is happy here, [so] I will stay," he added.
