Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was once rejected from a role due to what he wore to the interview.
The 56-year-old German coach made the shock announcement that he would be leaving Liverpool - just under a decade after being appointed to the role - at the end of the current 2023/24 campaign.
Unlike many other managerial exits, Klopp is seemingly leaving the club while the squad and team as a whole are on the up. Liverpool sit at the top of the Premier League table, as well as booking a place in the Carabao Cup final and progressing into the latter stages of both the FA Cup and Europa League.

It's been an eventful nine years for the former Borussia Dortmund and Mainz 05 boss, who cited his dwindling levels of energy as one of the main reasons for his exit.
Klopp also commented on the possibility of managing another club in the near future, where he didn't rule out the idea of returning to the managerial hot-seat.
"If you ask me now if I will ever manage again? I would say no." Klopp said in his exit interview. "But you don't know obviously as I've never had this situation. But I do know definitely I will never manage a different club in England than Liverpool. It is impossible.

"I will find something else to do. But I will not manage a club or country for at least a year."
While his next destination has not been named, what is clear is that there will be a growing list of suitors eager to try and persuade him to join.
Which is a stark contrast to what he has previously experienced, given the fact one club previously rejected him due to the items of clothing he wore to the interview.

According to the man himself, former Tottenham Hotspur boss Martin Jol was handed the vacant Hamburg job in 2008 after Klopp wore a tracksuit to the interview.
After missing out on that role, Klopp would join Dortmund instead and the rest, as they say, is history.
