Former Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe has been arrested by police in the UK, it has been reported.

Ibe, who left Liverpool back in 2016 after making 41 appearances, is currently playing for Bulgarian top division club Lokomotiv Sofia.

The Sun report that the 30-year-old was arrested by police at Luton Airport after flying back to the UK for a separate court case.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson told the outlet that he has been charged with actual bodily harm over an alleged assault.

"Jordon Ibe has been charged with actual bodily harm," the spokesperson stated.

"The charge relates to an assault alleged to have taken place on Sunday December 14, 2025.

"He was arrested at Luton Airport on Friday January 30 and taken into custody."

Ibe has been released on bail and is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates' Court on March 6.

At the aforementioned separate court case, Ibe admitted on February 6 to possessing an article for use in fraud.

The court heard that he used the document at a pharmacy in May 2024 to obtain the insomnia drug Zolpidem.

He then returned four days later with the document, which was seized by a pharmacy worker.

Ibe was fined £230, alongside £85 in costs and a £73 victim surcharge, according to the Daily Mail.

Ibe signed for Lokomotiv Sofia on an 18-month contract in November, having spent several years playing non-league football in England.

He came through Wycombe's youth academy, and became their youngest-ever Football League player when he made his debut at the age of 15 years and 311 days in 2011.

Ibe signed for Liverpool a year later, and went out on loan to Birmingham City and Derby County before establishing himself in the first team at Anfield during Jurgen Klopp's first season in charge.

After scoring four goals in 41 appearances in all competitions during the 2015/16 season, Ibe sealed a club-record £15 million move to Bournemouth.

His stint at Dean Court, however, was largely unsuccessful and he was released in the summer of 2020 after the Cherries were relegated from the Premier League.

In January 2021, while at Derby County, Ibe revealed that he had been suffering with depression, telling SPORTbible in November of that year: "It was the darkest time of my life. It was a cry for help, to be honest.

"I felt like I needed to speak out because if not, I don't know what else could have happened. It's a good thing that I did."

His contract at Derby was terminated by mutual consent in the summer of 2021, and he had a brief spell at Turkish side Adanaspor before taking time out of football.

Ibe made his comeback by signing a surprise deal with Ebbsfleet United, then of the National League, in 2023.

Various spells at other non-league clubs preceded his move to Bulgaria last year, though his only competitive appearance for Lokomotiv Sofia thus far has been in a friendly match last month.

Their new season kicked off on February 7 - the day after Ibe's recent court appearance.
