Jamie Carragher has admitted there is one player he wishes Liverpool had signed following his move to a rival Premier League club this summer.
Liverpool are still yet to make a signing this window under new manager Arne Slot, but despite the lack of transfer activity the Dutchman still got off to a winning start in the Premier League.
The Reds breezed past newly promoted Ipswich Town through goals from Diogo Jota and Mo Salah.

Although Slot is yet to add to what he inherited from Jurgen Klopp it hasn't been due to a lack of trying with Spanish midfielder Martin Zubimendi rejecting the club in favour of staying with Real Sociedad.
Despite Liverpool's positive start to the campaign former defender Jamie Carragher believes there is one man Liverpool should have gone all out to sign.
Speaking during his predictions for the season on Monday Night Football, Carragher singled out Chelsea's Pedro Neto as the player he would have loved to see in a Liverpool shirt.

“The reason I’ve chosen him is because I think, but for injuries, I think this is a player that could play for the best teams in the world – I really do believe that," he said on MNF.
“He’s a player I have always watched for Wolves in the last three or four years, who I’ve always thought, ‘I’d love Liverpool to sign him’. I just look at the pace and the quality on the ball, he scores goals, and I just hope he stays fit.
“If Chelsea could keep him fit, I think he’s a special talent and he’s a player that I love to watch, and I actually get down a little bit when I hear he’s injured again," he added.

Neto joined Chelsea after five years at Wolves for a reported fee of £51m and came off the bench to make his debut for the club in their opening-day defeat to Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.
The 24-year-old played 111 times in the Premier League for Wolves, scoring 11 times and providing 19 assists.
