James Milner's speed when running 5.5 miles in his mid-30s has emerged which proves he's a physical machine.
Milner enjoyed eight trophy-laden seasons at Liverpool following his move from Manchester City in 2015.
He helped the Reds win the Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup and achieve European glory in the Champions League.

The 37-year-old called time on his Anfield career earlier this summer, deciding to join Brighton after the his contract came to an end.
However, he leaves behind a trail of training ground records which demonstrate his incredible fitness levels.

He posted the evidence on Twitter which displayed the average time of each mile coming in at under four minutes.
Milner's incredible work rate is well documented throughout his time at Anfield, where he won the club's gruelling lactate test every single season.

The aerobic test measures the lactic acid level of players at increasing distances. A sample of blood is taken from each player's ear to evaluate their lactic acid level, and if it is deemed too high, they are eliminated. In essence, it is the survival of the fittest.
In Milner's absence, Mohamed Salah appears to have become the new fitness king, winning this summer's lactate test.
Upon completing the test, Jurgen Klopp announced Salah's victory by saying, "And the James Milner award goes to..."
Trent Alexander-Arnold also spoke highly of Milner's fitness levels, stating he'll never see anyone as fit as him.

"We are a fit team, there are a lot of players who have great engines - Hendo, Gini, Robbo. But Milly, I don’t think I’ll ever see anyone as fit as him," he revealed.
"I remember a few years ago Kev Stewart would give him a run for his money in pre-season. But considering his age and how long he’s played for, to still be the fittest player in arguably the fittest team in the world, and by some margin, that takes some doing."
