A surprise club has emerged in the race to sign Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez, and they're willing to make a massive sale to fund the transfer.
Nunez joined Liverpool from Benfica in the summer of 2022 for a reported fee of €75 million (£64 million), but has failed to impress since.
Recent poor performances have led to rumours that Liverpool could be willing to part ways with the striker in the January transfer window, with several clubs appearing to show interest in signing him.

And now, another major club has registered their interest in securing the Uruguayan's signature, and they are reportedly ready to sell one of their biggest players so that they can make it happen.
According to Anfield Watch, several clubs in the Saudi Pro League are interested in signing Nunez, with Al Hilal said to be the club that is most eager to bring him in ahead of their participation in the FIFA Club World Cup at the end of this season.
Al Hilal reportedly want to improve several parts of their squad before the tournament gets underway in June, and are even willing to sell star player Neymar Jr in order to do so.

The Brazilian had made just two appearances for the Saudi side this season after struggling with fitness and injuries to both his hamstring and his cruciate ligament.
In total, Neymar has made just seven appearances for Al Hilal since joining from Paris Saint-Germain in August 2023, scoring one goal and assisting three.
Therefore, now could be the perfect time to part ways with the 32-year-old and Nunez is seen to be the perfect replacement due to Al Hilal manager Jorge Jesus' history with the forward.

The Portuguese manager managed Nunez while the pair worked at Benfica, with the striker scoring 32 goals and registered 14 assists in just 66 games under Jesus.
Nunez came under fire following Liverpool's 4-0 win over Accrington Stanley in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday, with fans frustrated that he failed to score against the League Two side.
Instead, Diogo Jota, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jayden Danns and summer signing Federico Chiesa, were the goalscorers for Liverpool.
