Darwin Nunez has outperformed Erling Haaland in three key stats as the Liverpool striker continues to prove his doubters wrong.
Last summer, Liverpool spent big on Nunez but the Uruguayan endured a tough start to life at Anfield after missing a few big chances and a red card on debut.
Despite that, manager Jurgen Klopp has always been public with his defence of Nunez, claiming he will take time to become a Liverpool star.
At the start of the 23/24 season, Nunez has been performing much better.

So far this season, Nunez has scored seven goals and assisted four across all competitions. In addition, after his stunning winner against Bournemouth on Wednesday, he now has a better minutes-per-goal ratio than Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah.
Now, it has been revealed that Nunez is also outperforming Manchester City’s Haaland in three key stats.
According to FBREF, Nunez is ranked number one in the Premier League for goals+assist/90, non-penalty goals+assist/90 and total shots/90.

Reacting to Nunez’s winner against Bournemouth, Klopp said: “Darwin shows his class and puts the game pretty much to bed for us.
“It's an unbelievable goal. There were much bigger chances in the whole game - five, six or seven - but that was the goal we needed.”
When asked whether the windy conditions helped Nunez score the goal, Klopp said: “If you can do that, that's really good! That would be outstanding. You'd have to ask him, I didn't - I just enjoyed the goal.”
Liverpool will be back in Premier League action this weekend as they take on newly-promoted Luton Town on Sunday afternoon.
