Liverpool head coach Arne Slot has aimed a dig at Erik ten Hag and Manchester United following the appointment of Ruben Amorim.
United confirmed on Friday that Sporting Lisbon boss Amorim is set to become Ten Hag's permanent replacement.
In a statement released on the club's X account, United announced that Amorim would officially start his new role as head coach at Old Trafford on November 11 after reaching an agreement with Sporting.

He will take over from Ten Hag, who sacked by United earlier this week in the wake of their 2-1 defeat to West Ham.
That loss left the club in 14th place in the Premier League, just seven points above the relegation zone.
At a press conference on Friday ahead of Liverpool's Premier League game against Brighton, Slot was asked about his compatriot Ten Hag's sacking and the appointment of Amorim.
And the Dutchman was quick to point out the massive level of spending by United in recent seasons, particularly when compared to his own club.

"We only talk here a lot about the spending of, especially Chelsea but also Man United," said Slot.
"I saw the stat when Erik left the club, how much in his two-and-a-half years he had spent.
"But on the same list, I saw that Brighton was only £10-15m underneath us.
"The both of us were only just on the sheet!"

Manchester United spent more than £600m on new signings since Ten Hag took over as manager in 2022.
He signed 21 senior players across his five transfer windows at Old Trafford, an average of over four new arrivals every six months.
His most expensive signing, Antony, cost the club around £85m in 2022 and has managed just 12 goals for United in that time. The Brazilian is now being linked with a move away in January.

After Sir Jim Ratcliffe's INEOS took control of football operations at Old Trafford in February, they backed Ten Hag with around £200m in the summer transfer window – signing the likes of Joshua Zirkzee, Matthijs de Ligt and Leny Yoro.
But that has failed to translate to success on the pitch, leading to Ten Hag's dismissal as manager just nine games into the new Premier League season.
Liverpool, in contrast, spent just £12.5m in the summer, bringing Federico Chiesa to the club from Juventus.
The Reds are currently second in the league, just one point behind leaders Manchester City, after making an impressive start under Slot.
