Arne Slot appeared to be stopped from making two announcements in his first Liverpool press conference on Friday.
The Dutchman spoke to the media at the AXA training centre after replacing Jurgen Klopp as manager on a three-year deal.
Slot, who officially started his post on 1 June after joining from Feyenoord, did not give much away and withheld plenty of information from the journalists who asked questions.
At one point he was asked about his backroom staff and there potentially being scope for further additions.

Slot replied: "I think what has been announced already is Sipke Hulshoff, who I've already worked with at Feyenoord and our former club Cambuur.
"He's sitting in the room as well like you probably saw. Goalkeeping coach has been announced, I haven't worked with him but we've spoken to him and are really happy he's going to join our team."
He did then state that the club are "expecting two others to join" but was told by sporting director Richard Hughes that he was not yet able to confirm.

After asking, "Can we?" but being knocked back, he then said there would be
"a couple more announcements in the near future".
Slot faces the near-impossible task of replacing Klopp, who will go down as one of Liverpool's greatest ever managers.
But the German has already pledged his support for his successor by singing a song about him on his Anfield farewell.

And though Slot wouldn't go into much detail, he did say that he and Klopp have had conversations.
"We've spoken about many things, but they stay between us," Slot explained.
"Him singing for me was special. I was fortunate at Feyenoord that they sung for me. Fans already singing for me is a good start."

Liverpool will be over in the United States for pre-season and will take on Premier League rivals Manchester United and Arsenal.
Slot's first competitive game is a 12:30 kick-off against newly promoted Ipswich Town on 17 August.
