A rarely-made decision during Liverpool vs Everton left everyone watching slightly confused.

Everton produced a spirited performance but Ashley Young’s sending off just before half-time proved to be the turning point.

Two goals from Mohamed Salah in the last 15 minutes sealed a 2-0 win for Liverpool.
Towards the end of the match, there was a decision from the fourth official which left TNT Sports commentators and fans watching at home confused.
Fourth official Thomas Bramall initially had 10 minutes of added time on his board.

He then made a last-ditch change and only showed nine minutes.
TNT Sports commentator Darren Fletcher was left puzzled by the fourth official’s decision.
However, the fourth official’s late change of heart will not be the decision that angered the Everton fans the most after Liverpool centre-back Ibrahima Konate escaped a second yellow card after fouling Beto.
On the back of that incident, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp instantly made a substitute as Konate was replaced by Joel Matip.

Speaking about the incident, Klopp admitted Konate could have easily been sent off.
He said to BBC Sport: “Ibrahima, could have gone, yes.
“It could have happened obviously and then we took him off and from that moment we were solid and compact.”

Klopp added to beIN Sports: “We took him off because of that, of course.
“I didn’t see it back, I saw it in the situation and I saw so many football games and saw yellow cards in moments like this. We got lucky probably. We took him off and what is even more important is Joel played a sensational game.”
