A top flight football club was reportedly 'tricked' into playing a friendly match against a team of amateur players.
Pre-season often throws up bizarre match-ups, but few will ever top a clash that recently took place in Egypt.
Last week Kuwaiti Premier League side Kazma recorded a thumping 7-1 victory against Egyptian opponents Telephonat Beni Suef during a training camp in the Egyptian city of Alexandria.

However, local media outlets have since reported that Kazma did not actually play who they thought they did.
Training camp organisers were reportedly deceived into thinking that they had booked Telephonat Beni Suef - who play in Egypt's third tier - to play, but actually they had dialled the wrong number.
According to reports, the organisers actually spoke to a random person on the phone who gathered a group of strangers and promised them a cut of the match fee.

Four-time Kuwaiti Premier League champions Kazma were none the wiser until TE Beni Suef took to social media to deny that they had played in any recent friendlies.
Kazma issued a statement blaming tournament organisers StarMaker Football and demanding an apology. StarMaker Football issued a statement which was then shared on the Kuwaiti club's social media channels.
"Unfortunately, the company was deceived by the representative of the Telephonat Beni Suef club, who later turned out to have no connection to the club,” the statement read.
"He also falsely claimed that the competing team represented Telephonat Beni Suef."

The Egyptian Football Association promised to work with the Kuwait Football Association to investigate the incident and ascertain how it was allowed to happen.
Egyptian football's governing body has said that future friendlies with foreign opposition will require their approval before taking place.
