YouTube celeb Chunkz responds to Joey Barton after former Premier League star calls out Sidemen in x-rated social media rant

The former Manchester City and Newcastle United star has made his feelings about the Sidement charity match known.

Youtube star Chunkz has hit back at Joey Barton after the controversial former Premier League player's highly x-rated rant on social media.

On Saturday afternoon, popular British YouTube group 'The Sidemen' held a huge charity football match at the iconic Wembley Stadium in London.

The match, which was attended by 90,000 fans, finished as a 9-9 draw between Sidemen FC and the YouTube All-Stars, with a penalty shootout naming the All-Stars the winners after several moments went viral online.

But in the wake of the match, controversial former Premier League star Barton has kicked off on social media, leading to a response from one of the biggest YouTubers in the UK, Chunkz.

In their previous charity match, held at West Ham's London Stadium in 2023, the Sidemen raised an incredible £2million for several different charities.

And in this year's match, they more than doubled this total, raising a breathtaking £4,733,004 for charities including BBC Children in Need, but Barton isn't impressed, and he let his feelings known in a highly-offensive x-rated rant.

Reacting to a clip of the match on X, Barton wrote: "How is Wembley rented out a week before a League Cup Final for the R***** Bowl?

"F****** embarrassing. Those clowns shouldn’t be anywhere near the hallowed turf. Especially, the big fat f***** in a bandana.

"Game has gone. R*****’s Everywhere you look. Some of the very worse football I’ve ever seen."

But Chunkz, who has played in the charity match on several occasions, wasn't happy with Barton's opinion, as he took the time to point out the importance of the money raised by the charity match.

Replying to the post, Chunkz wrote: "How much money have you raised for charity you grumpy f***. Have a day off."

But Barton doubled down on his view, as he replied to a fan arguing the same point as Chunkz, claiming that the money is irrelevant given the fact that Wembley will host the 2025 Carabao Cup final between Liverpool and Newcastle United next week.

"Not the point mate. We have the first major of the season next Sunday. Would the Masters let the goons loose on the golf course and week before the tournament," asked the former Manchester City and Newcastle player.

"Could El S****** not have waited until after the final. It’s an insult to Wembley. To Liverpool and Newcastle football clubs and supporters.

"Wembley should remain special. Not a circus. It insults the League cup. Or whatever fizzy drinks sponsor it has nowadays."
