Spain booked their place in the final four with a dramatic 2-1 win against tournament hosts Germany, before France overcame Portugal on penalties to set up the heavyweight clash.
Spain have been one of the best sides at the tournament, but the same cannot be said of France.
Didier Deschamps side have looked a shadow of the team that won the 2018 World Cup and reached the final of the 2022 World Cup.

Remarkably, not a single French player has scored from open play at Euro 2024. France have scored just three goals in five games.
The first was an own-goal scored by Austria, their second was a Kylian Mbappe penalty against Poland and their first was an own-goal scored by Belgium's Jan Vertonghen in the round-of-16.
Ahead of the quarter-final clash with Portugal, there were rumours that Deschamps was going to drop Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann.

The manager stuck with his vice-captain, but not he looks set to relegate the 33-year-old to the bench.
According to L'Equipe, Deschamps is considering dropping Griezmann as part of a plan to make France more defensively solid in the face of Spain's attack.
Griezmann knows many of the Spain players due to playing his club football in La Liga, but he may have to settle for watching at least the first half of the match from the sidelines.
