Amid Argentina’s celebrations, however, a video originally posted on social media by Chelsea midfielder Fernandez, features the Argentina squad appearing to sing a section of a racist chant about the France team.
The players are seen chanting together on a bus, with the aforementioned racist song seemingly starting up towards the end of the Instagram live. Someone then swiftly instructs Enzo Fernandez to stop filming and the video cuts out.
The full lyrics to the song, at times sung by a section of the Argentina support, are: “Listen, spread the word, they play in France, but they are all from Angola, they are going to run well, they like to sleep with trans people, their mum is Nigerian, their dad is Cameroonian, but on the passport it says: French.”

The match was pushed back by an hour as ticketless supporters stormed entry points in a bid to force their way inside. Some are even said to have climbed through air vents.
Moreover, Argentina talisman and sporting icon Lionel Messi also suffered a horrific ankle injury, leaving him in floods of tears on the bench.
The eight-time Ballon d’Or winner has not confirmed whether he will feature for his national side at the World Cup in two years.
