On Tuesday night, the Three Lions knew a victory would secure passage to the round of 16 as group winners, with the Netherlands the likely opponent.
However, ahead of the match, England star Kieran Trippier’s wife, Charlotte, has caught attention with her social media activities.
As reported by The Express, Charlotte ‘unfollowed’ Trippier on Instagram after it was spotted the Newcastle United full-back’s account was not on her follow list.

She then wrote: “Sooner or later, you get over the s**t you swore you'd never get over, and it's the best feeling in the world.”
Charlotte then added further stories, with a caption that read: “The sun is shining, happy Monday.”
SPORTbible has contacted Kieran Trippier's representatives for comment.

Trippier is currently in action as he started at left-back against Slovenia.
Ahead of the match, former England star Gary Lineker said: “If England finish second in Group C they will play against Germany and be in the tougher side of the draw. A win now for England against Slovenia is imperative.”
Izzy Christensen said on BBC Radio 5 Live: “What England need tonight is a really solid performance. Of course they need to win, but a solid performance to give the fans that promise that momentum will start to build at the right time.
“I think a lot of people would have preferred to see a shuffle with Jude Bellingham deeper, Phil Foden central and Anthony Gordon come in out wide on the left. There are options, this is what Gareth Southgate has gone for, let's hope it works out.”
