Fans have spotted a problem with England’s new kits ahead of Euro 2024.
On Monday, England launched their new kits ahead of the summer’s men’s European Championship, with the strips set to be debuted during fixtures later this month.
England’s senior side face Brazil and Belgium in friendly matches at Wembley Stadium on March 23 and 26.

The men’s version of the kit will go on sale on Thursday while the women’s kits will be available next month upon the start of the Lionesses' qualification campaign for Euro 2025.

The kits have received a generally positive reception on social media, with the new home shirt featuring a navy trim around the collar and navy side panelling.

Meanwhile, unlike the previous all-red design, the new away kit is a deep purple with graphic side panelling that features “seven different colours with a nod to English fashion”.
The new goalkeeper shirt is bright orange with distorted waves.
While much of the response is positive to the selection of kits, some fans on X, formally Twitter, have noted that they prefer England to have a more traditional red away top.
One person said: “Does anyone else miss seeing the red England kit?”

A second responded: “Yes our flag is red and white. That should always be our shirt colour.”
A third added: “White and red it should always be representing the flag, we aren’t France.”
A fourth said: “Yes 100 per cent but without sacrificing the white or blue. I want to add a red kit instead of replacing the blue one.”
When explaining why England’s away shirt was purple, Nike said the colour was a mix of the red and blue of away kits from previous years.
