Gareth Southgate has been told to drop one player by England fans ahead of the Three Lions’ clash against Denmark.
In front of a packed crowd inside the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen on Sunday night, England produced a good enough performance to seal a nervy 1-0 victory, thanks to Jude Bellingham’s goal in the 13th minute.
Southgate’s men had to weather a slight Serbian storm in the second half but did enough to hold on for the win.
Ahead of the match against Denmark in Frankfurt on Thursday evening, England fans have urged Southgate to replace Phil Foden.

The Manchester City star, who was named the Premier League’s player of the season, struggled to impact the match as he played on the left of England’s attack.
On social media, one fan said: “I’d drop Foden vs Denmark. Play Gordon or Eze on the left. As good as Foden is, Bellingham is better in the 10 role.”
Another tweeted: “It has to be Eze or Gordon on that left side against Denmark, use Foden as an impact sub for Saka or Bellingham because he’s wasted wide left.”
A third fan added: “England could have done with a Grealish or Rashford last night....Foden looked clueless and should be replaced by Eze against Denmark.”

However, some fans felt Foden has been used incorrectly by Southgate. One said: “Phil Foden everyone’s scapegoat again here!! It’s criminal that his talent is being wasted stuck out on the left wing.”
Another added: “Foden's talents are being wasted by playing him on that left side. If he played off Rice in an attacking midfield it would give more attacking options for Jude, Kane and Saka.”
Someone else wrote: “I agree with Foden being more central, he’s wasted on the wing. I’m just excited to see them play together, it’s a very talented team.”
