One England star burst out laughing when teammate Kieran Trippier was delivering his first-ever captain’s speech.
The England players are currently preparing themselves ahead of their Euro 2024 opener against Serbia on Sunday.
Gareth Southgate will be hoping his squad can go one step further this time around after they lost the Euro 2020 final via a tense penalty shootout against Italy at Wembley three years ago.
Ahead of the match, Trippier was joined by Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford on England’s Lions’ Den on YouTube.

During the show, Trippier spoke about his first-ever captain’s speech when England played Andorra and how Pickford ruined the speech by bursting into laughter.
He said: “One time, we played Andorra and I was captain. Nobody even knows this so we may as well get it out. So I’m the captain and you have to do a speech before in the huddle, normally it’s H(Harry Kane).
“Obviously, me and Picks(Jordan Pickford) are really close. I was nervous as it was and as I was speaking I clocked eyes with him. And he started bursting out laughing.”
Trippier continued: “You know when you’re speaking, doing a speech, lost where I was going, everyone just started laughing their heads off! That was it.
“And then I was captain again but the thing is, every five minutes, him (Pickford), H (Kane), Kyle Walker and everyone were going ‘oh I can’t wait to hear your speech’ and I’m thinking ‘I don’t need this right now’. I’ve done it many times at Newcastle but with these boys it’s different.

“The second time it went better but I’ve never told anyone about it before.”
England will take on Serbia on Sunday before playing against Denmark and Slovenia in the group stage.
