Gleneagles has responded to claims David Beckham made a 'life-changing offer' to a couple ahead of their wedding so he could use the venue.
A rumour emerged online that Beckham had offered to pay off a couple's mortgage, wedding date and honeymoon in order to land Gleneagles for his upcoming half-century bash.

Gleneagles boasts not one but THREE tournament-standard golf courses in the grounds and the hotel was developed for the Ryder Cup back in 2014.
It's also held significant conferences as the 31st G8 summit took place at the luxury resort in July 2015.
The venue has also won various awards, including Ultratravel Magazine's Best Golf Resort in the World and Scotland's Best Hotel at Today's Golfer Travel Award.

It sounds like the kind of place a Manchester United and England legend would like to celebrate.
However, there appears to be more to the story than meets the eye. The same rumour circulated last month following Victoria Beckham's 50th birthday. Speaking to The Courier, a spokesperson for the Scottish resort said: "We don’t provide commentary about guests who come to stay, be that relating to real events or urban myths.
“Our team go above and beyond to create exceptional experiences for every single guest who comes to Gleneagles. Our expertise is definitely not in mortgages."
