Manchester United striker has hit out at Erik ten Hag and called for six club legends to be brought back to help the team.

Since leaving United for the second time in 2022, Ronaldo has been very clear about his feelings regarding current United manager Ten Hag,

The tension in their relationship came to a head when Ronaldo, who at the time still played for United, took part in a tell-all interview with Piers Morgan in which he stated that he had "no respect" for the Dutchman.

And now, two years later, Ronaldo has spoken out against Ten Hag once again, while calling upon several club legends to return to guide the United boss.

While speaking to former teammate Rio Ferdinand's Presents podcast, Ronaldo criticised Ten Hag's mentality after he recently claimed that United were "a long way" away from winning the Premier League.

However, he did praise United's recent decision to bring back club legend Ruud van Nistelrooy as part of the coaching staff and urged Ten Hag to seek advice from the former United striker.

"If Ten Hag listen to Ruud, maybe he can [help himself]," Ronaldo said.

The 39-year-old then went on to suggest that Ten Hag should consider bringing more club legends back to Old Trafford to help guide him.

"I think it can help a lot because he knows the club and the club should listen [to] the guys who were there.

"You [Rio] or Roy Keane or Paul Scholes or Gary Neville, whatever, Sir Alex Ferguson. You cannot, you cannot rebuild a club without knowledge. Not guys who work in office. They understand.

"The people who understand the football, it was, 99 per cent is the people who were there in the dressing room. They know how to deal with the players. It’s the people who understand these things.

"So I believe that Ruud is going to help because he was inside the club. He knows the club. He knows the fans. If the coach listens to him, I think they can improve a little bit the club."
