Cristiano Ronaldo broke down in tears after Al-Nassr suffered a heartbreaking defeat in the final of the King's Cup.
It has now been almost 18 months since Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr after leaving Manchester United, but the five-time Ballon d'Or winner is still waiting for his first major title with the Saudi Pro League side.
On Friday Al-Nassr met Al-Hilal in a chaotic final of the King's Cup, a 32-team knockout competition comprising teams from the Saudi Pro League and the Saudi First Division.

Al-Nassr started the stronger of the two sides, but it was league champions Al-Hilal that took the lead when former Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic headed past ex-Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina.
Ronaldo and his teammates grew frustrated with the resistance their attacks were met with, and things went from bad to worse when Ospina was sent off early in the second half after handling the ball outside his penalty area.
However, Ayman Yahya scored an 88th-minute equaliser seconds after Al-Hilal centre-back Ali Albulayhi was shown a second yellow card.

Moments later former Chelsea man Kalidou Koulibaly was sent off as Al-Hilal lost their heads, but Al-Nassr were unable to make their man-advantage count during extra-time.
The match was decided by penalties, and after both sides missed their first and sixth attempts, Meshari Al-Nemer missed to hand Al-Hilal victory.

Ronaldo sank to the turf in tears and had to be helped up by coaching staff, with the footage widely shared on social media.
The 39-year-old has enjoyed a superb season, scoring 44 goals and providing 13 assists in 45 games in all competitions.
Yet despite his exploits, he will end the 2023-24 campaign without winning a single trophy.
In fact, Ronaldo's only trophy win with Al-Nassr was the 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup, a regional competition held in lower regard than domestic and continental tournaments.
