Chelsea allowed 14 senior players to leave the club in the summer transfer window and there are expected to be more departures in January as Mauricio Pochettino looks to trim his bloated squad down to size.
The likes of Kai Havertz, N'Golo Kante, Mason Mount and Mateo Kovacic all left Stamford Bridge over the summer as Chelsea looked to balance the books after another spending spree.
The Premier League club's transfer spending has passed the €1bn mark in just three windows since the Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital completed their takeover in May, 2022.

But despite those levels of investment, Chelsea find themselves down in 14th place in the Premier League ahead of Sunday's home game against Aston Villa.
Pochettino's job has been made even more difficult by an ongoing injury crisis at the club, with 11 senior players currently sidelined.
Ed Hodge, Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah's personal trainer, branded the current situation "an absolute mess" in a now deleted Twitter post, which shared screenshots of the direct messages sent by Hodge.

"Most of the injuries are because players have been loading muscles time and time again without lengthening them simultaneously… then one lunge into a tackle or a COD too rapidly and they’re injured," Hodge purportedly said.
"Hardly any of them do reformer Pilates or terrain work (I.E stair sprints and hill sprints to strengthen knee ligaments. It’s an absolute mess at the moment, bro."
Football Insider claim Hodge will never be allowed back at Chelsea in the wake of the leaked messages.
It complicates matters for Chalobah, 24, who is yet to feature for Chelsea this season and was linked with both Bayern Munich and Nottingham Forest in the summer window.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims the defender will be allowed to leave in January.
"Trevoh Chalobah, still expected to leave Chelsea in January — Pochettino denied English CB being 'frozen out' after move rejected on Deadline Day but feeling is clear," tweeted Romano.
"Chalobah was keen on Bayern move in the final weeks of summer window — he rejected Nottingham Forest."
